“I was told to bring a stick and that I would be working with another athlete who was a football player,” said Hall, who works as a sales representative for Reebok. With regular appearances at the Reebok campus in Boston by New England Patriots players and Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz, he was anxious to get to work Tuesday.

“When I got there I didn’t recognize him at first, but when I saw the jersey I immediately knew it was Roddy White,” said Hall. “He is the man!”

Reebok athlete Roddy White is a four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver for the Atlanta Falcons and an NFL All-pro. He is also quite the lacrosse fan. White, according to Hall, plays wall ball with a workout partner’s kid when he goes to the gym.

With some knowledge of the game, Hall tutored White on the proper passing and shooting techniques, starting with cradling. The NFL star was learning from a player that has won three professional lacrosse titles and two World Championships.

“We just hung out and talked about our hometowns,” said Hall, who spent a half an hour with White. “He is a southern guy and it was cool to hear how lacrosse is growing done there. We also just played some lacrosse together.”

Hall, who hails from Vancouver, demonstrated proper shooting form in football terms, as he planted his your opposite foot before releasing the shot similar to throwing a football. He also emphasized pushing and pulling when passing and shooting. White was a model student and a fast learner.

“He got better instantly and picked it up right away,” said Hall about White, who hails from James Island, SC “He was a natural.

At the end of the day, Hall and White swapped jerseys for a cross-marketing photo opportunity for Reebok football and lacrosse. It was a lacrosse lesson that Hall will never forget.

“It was pretty sweet,” he said. “He’s a really cool dude.”
