KNIGHTHAWKS HAVE FIVE PICKS IN NLL DRAFT

(August 13, 2012)… The World Champion Rochester Knighthawks will have five picks at the 2012 National Lacrosse League Entry Draft. The event will take place in Toronto at the Westin Harbour Castle on Monday, October 1st. The draft starts at 7:00 p.m. and will be broadcast live on The NLL Network at NLL.com.

The Knighthawks will make their first two picks in the third round at 26th and 29th overall. Rochester has single picks in the fourth, fifth and sixth rounds. Last season, both of Rochester’s first-round picks received All-Rookie Team honors. Second overall pick Stephen Keogh and fifth overall selection Johnny Powless finished third and fourth on the team in points, respectively.

The Edmonton Rush currently hold the first overall selection in the 2012 Entry Draft, which is free and open to the public. The current order of selection for the six-round draft is listed below. In conjunction with the draft, a player combine for draft prospects & free agents will be held on Sunday, September 30th at the new Toronto Rock Headquarters & Training Facility in Oakville, Ontario.
