(August 11, 2012)… Rochester native and Knighthawks forward Joe Walters will host his second and final local summer lacrosse camp this week at Total Sports Experience. Kids will have opportunity to learn from the three-time World Champion and four-time college All-American.
Walters will host his annual Sharp Shooter Academy from Monday, August 13th to Tuesday, August 14th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The shooting specialty camp at TSE is limited to 30 students. The cost is $150 and includes a Nike Dri-FIT Academy shirt. The first 15 students to register will also receive a free STX Proton Power. There are no age requirements or limitations, but lacrosse experience is required.
“This is purely instructional as I thoroughly break down the art and science of shooting, using video analysis to show each student what they are doing right and wrong,” said Walters.
Walters, who won the 2012 National Lacrosse League Championship with the Rochester Knighthawks, was recently named to Team USA for the September “Duel in Denver” exhibition game against Team Canada.
