(June 30, 2012)… The Six Nations Arrows travel to play the St. Catharines Athletics at 7:00 p.m. tonight to end the regular season. The Arrows (16-3) trail the Whitby Warriors (17-3) by two points. If they finish tied at the end of 20 games, the Arrows would win the regular season title on goal differential. Securing the No. 1 seed would accomplish the team’s first goal of the season.
“Improving as a team over the course of the regular season and having home field throughout the playoffs has been our team goal since Day 1 of the regular season,” said Arrows Head Coach Marshall Abrams. “Home field will prove to be very important come playoff time as there are plenty of tough barns to play in on the road in this league with ours being one of them.
“Our focus, however, is on tonight’s game in St. Catharines and securing the first overall spot in the league,” he added.
