(June 17, 2012)… Jarrett Davis may have relocated back west, but he made sure to bring his hot streak along with him. The Rochester Knighthawks forward currently ranks second on the Maple Ridge Burrards in points after an impressive run in the National Lacrosse League Playoffs.
Davis, a second-year pro, finished the 2012 Champion’s Cup Playoffs with a team-high nine assists and tied for fourth on the team with 10 points. That was after the former first-round pick finished the regular season with a career-high 21 assists and 28 points in 13 games. In 2011, he broke into the NLL with 12 goals and 12 assists to finished third in the NLL in rookie points. He completed the 2012 season with his first professional lacrosse title.
Just a week after raising the Champion’s Cup at The Blue Cross Arena, he was back in the Western Lacrosse Association where he played in 2010 and was a Second Team All-Pro with Maple Ridge. Since his return on May 27th, the Port Moody, BC native has four goals and 14 assists in five games for the Burrards. Davis spent the 2011 campaign in Brampton, as he helped the Excelsiors win the Mann Cup.
Tonight, the Burrards (0-6-1) host the Coquitlam Adanacs (3-4-0) at 10:00 p.m. EST.
