(May 25, 2012)... Rochester Knighthawks fans can listen to the “Championship Wrap Up Show” of Hawk Talk to get the latest news and interviews about the team’s incredible run to the 2012 Champion’s Cup.

This show includes interviews with Head Coach Mike Hasen, Team Captain Pat McCready, forward Joe Walters and Broadcaster Craig Rybczynski. The hosts of Hawk Talk hosted the season finale of the longest-running fan radio show LIVE at the Stock Exchange Restaurant Thursday night. Walters and members of the Knightingales Dance Team signed autographs and posed for picture with the Cup.

It has been a special week for Walters, who was once a Knighthawks season ticket, and grew up idolizing the teams of the 1990s.

“I have a great sense of pride in being a Rochesterian, knowing how much lacrosse means to this region,” said Walters. “Seeing the excitement of the fans lets us know how much the team means to them.”
 
In the NLL title game, Walters assisted on three goals as Rochester rallied from a four-goal deficit Saturday to defeat the Edmonton Rush, 9-6. The Irondequoit High School product was second on the Knighthawks with 13 playoff points.

Today, Walters continued the Champion’s Cup Tour with a stop on the BEE Morning Coffee Club and a visit to three schools in the Fairport School District. His biggest reception was at Northside Elementary School, where he talked about the importance of education and achieving goals to 400 kids in the school’s cafeteria.
