The Rochester Knighthawks are encouraging fans to wear white to create a “White out” for their first home playoff game since the 2007 season. The Knighthawks will host the Philadelphia Wings in the East Division Semifinals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 4th.
 
The Knighthawks are embracing a tradition that began in Winnipeg during the 1987 Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Jets’ fans wore white shirts to their home games to create an intimidating atmosphere. Winnipeg defeated the Calgary Flames in the first round, four games to two, and the tradition was born.
