2016 home preseason.jpg(October 24, 2016)… The Rochester Knighthawks announced today that they will host the Georgia Swarm in a preseason game on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 8:00 p.m. at Connors & Ferris Field at The Blue Cross Arena. The contest marks the sixth straight season that the two teams have met in the holiday showdown.

The game is free for season ticket holders, who will receive information from the Knighthawks office. General admission seats are priced at $10 for adults and $5 for kids. However, if you bring in a new, unwrapped toy to benefit the Pirate Toy Fund, you will get two tickets to the game. The Knighthawks are accepting toys at their office at 144 Exchange Blvd. (suite 102) until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 9. Fans can also bring their donations to The Blue Cross Arena the night of the game.

“The Knighthawks are excited to announce our preseason game as this marks the first opportunity for our organization to welcome our fans back to Connors & Ferris Field at The Blue Cross Arena,” said Knighthawks Director of Tickets Nate Snyder. “Along with kicking of the lacrosse season, we are happy to give back to the community through the collection of toys that will be distributed to area children.”

Rochester will kick off its 23rd season on Thursday, Dec. 29 when it hosts the Toronto Rock at 7:30 p.m. at Connors & Ferris Field. The Pirate Toy Fund supplies toys year-round to over 70 agencies that provide aid and comfort to thousands of children in the Greater Rochester region.
