The professional lacrosse player will throw out the first pitch prior to the 11:05 a.m. Triple-A contest between the Rochester Red Wings and the Syracuse Chiefs.

“It’s exciting to have this opportunity,” he said. “I am glad to see another local sports team helping support our championship run.”

The third-year pro had a breakout season in 2017-18, registering career highs in assists (11) and points (19). He also tied his single-season marks for goals (eight) and games played (18). For the second straight season, the 26-year-old was named the winner of the team’s community service award.

In his playoff debut, the RIT product scored his first professional hat trick in a 15-11 semifinal win over New England on May 4. The Knighthawks advanced to the NLL Finals on Saturday, following a 9-8 win over the defending champion Georgia Swarm.

Rochester will now face the Saskatchewan Rush in a best-of-three series for the National Lacrosse League Cup. Game One will take place in Saskatoon on Saturday, May 26 at 9:30 p.m. ET. The Knighthawks will then host Game Two on Saturday, June 2 at 8:00 p.m. at Connors & Ferris Field at The Blue Cross Arena. If necessary, Game Three is set for Saturday, June 9 at 9:30 p.m. back in Saskatoon.
